Ophelia Inspired Photography Series by Gaudencio Garcinuño

Ophelia is a common theme throughout a variety of art forms; but who is Ophelia? Ophelia is a fictional character originating from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Her character is known for her sorrowful experiences throughout the story and the idea of her drowning from suicide. Therefore, Ophelia is often depicted in art as some one drowning in water. Photographer Gaudencio Garcinuño captures the idea of Opehlia beautifully in his series, La Muerte de Ofelia. Enjoy!
